So I've been very busy planning for expected changes and while I've been preparing and planning, it's never easy! Great news has come into our little business that could! Melange Bridal has their first ad on Tribeza Magazine, and our image of Lisa's Bridal Portrait was selected. We couldn't have been more pleased or honored. Seeing our image on a magazine was amazing...small steps lead to big leaps.
We also have a new addition to the family...Monchy Vega is our new little Shorkie puppy. We planned for his arrival for quite some time and now that he's here we couldn't be happier.
Now, we are planning another change! Our website. It's been on the burner simmering slowly, while gathering details to make our brand reflect who We are. It's definitely an exciting time, not to mention a bit nerve wrecking. Making sure that details come to life in the same way it's visualized is what makes it all worthwhile.
So here I leave you with our first image of Monchy, our little bundle of joy and news to share during the week
It's been awfully quiet around here, but I promise it's all worth the silence!!! There's a few amazing news and surprises I'll be sharing with you all. But. I just can't share it just yet! It's been really hard not to, I'm near exploding at the seams!!! In the meantime, I'm posting a little teaser for Melange Bridal's Grand Reopening!
In the mean time, I can give you a little itty bitty hint!!! Tribeza Magazine. That's it! That's all I can share!!! :)
This video is a great way for Brides of 2010 and beyond to use Google Docs and get organized with their guest list without having to pull their hair or to double check and triple check. Just last year, when V and I tackled our own guest list, there were many phone calls involved to confirm and reconfirm our guests' addresses. Hoping and crossing our fingers that all wedding related mail would be received.
So Brides of 2010, enjoy this video, and make one of your wedding to-do list simple and easy!
Here it is! A slideshow of Melange's Matthew Christopher Trunk Show! I've been a bit spaced out with regards to Monday Funday Nouvelle, but a double feature will appear next monday :)
Happy Monday to all!
Like most, if not all of you, I am so happy for Taylor Swift for her 4 grammy wins! She is so genuinely sweet and it shined last night during the Grammy Awards. I especially loved her performance with Stevie Nicks!
I thought that the Grammy Awards overall was wonderful. A little showy than talent but wonderful overall; including the Michael Jackson tribute.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and I know that everyone is looking forward to the return and last season of Lost. I haven't managed to watch any of the previous seasons, although it is on my to-do list. I can however say that I'm on season 6 of The West Wing and I am anxious to see how it all ties up for the final season. Yes I know, The West Wing has been off the air for quite a long while, but there is something about having a marathon of a TV show that is already available on DVD.
Now, this weekend was a great weekend for Melange Bridal. They had their first Matthew Christopher Trunk Show, and it was a success for them. I was super happy to photograph the event, and it was amazing to see so many girls try on wedding dresses. I remember when I tried on wedding dresses, and falling in love with almost every dress. So many dresses to choose from! Such a difficult choice!
I leave you with a preview to their trunk show. Stay tuned for more of their event, as well as exciting news to be shared this week!!
It's Monday, and I'm so rejuvinated! I've done nothing out of the norm to feel this way except that last night was the second night where I've slept in total darkness!!! So I dedicated this third post of Monday Funday Nouvelle to: DARKNESS
Yes, darkness. My best friend. We go way back and for the last 8 months, we've been leading such separate lives that, finally, on Saturday night, darkness and I were re-aquainted!!!
See for the past 8 months, I've slept with a TV on with some form of programming of V's choice. So every night for the past 8 months, as I try to sleep it's been a grusome work routine where I have to concentrate on forcing myself to sleep. Forcing myself to pretend that the TV is not on, to pretend that I do not hear it on. I would sing in my head to drown out the sound, and sing in my head the song over and over until it forced me to sleep. I would bring the comforter to my eyebrows, for a makeshift darkness. I'd prepare my next day in hopes that it would tire me out and I'd fall asleep.
But then. Saturday night. It happened. I was allowed the first night of darkness. Of silence. And It was GLORIOUS! I layed my head on my pillow as I've done since I've existed, but this time, I sighed. The Ahhhh that just puts a smile on your face. And in sighing, silence followed. Pure and rich silence. It was oh-so dark that I could open my eyes and not make out where the furniture was or where the evilness of the night, the TV, was placed. In an intsant, my mind was cleared, and I drifted off into sleep. Into sweet heavenly sleep!
I woke up around 4am, and was soo elated to have slept, who know show many hours, in pure silence and darkness. I knew that no matter how many hours I slept it was the best sleep I had in months. In eight long months!
I trust everyone enjoyed the previous post! More will come as I've got a busy weekend and I cant wait to share :)
Happy Monday!
I had the pleasure of doing this photo shoot for Nicole at Melange Bridal! Her vision was simple: theatre! All I had to do was provide my eye! What an amazing creative challenge! Photographing at Georgetown Palace Theater made the photo shoot so unique, providing just the touch of vintage!!!
So now, I am super excited to share a few of my favorite images with you! Enjoy!
